The CHO Show x 96.5 KOIT Cares for Kids Radiothon
I partnered with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland to help spotlight The CHO Show, a live, in-hospital variety program designed to create connection, laughter, and hope for pediatric patients and their families.
The CHO Show allows patients to call in directly from their hospital rooms to participate in trivia, share jokes, give shoutouts, and win prizes—creating a sense of normalcy and community during their hospital stay. What began over a decade ago as a simple idea to help children feel less alone has evolved into a beloved program that brings joy to patients, families, and hospital staff alike.
Through the 96.5 KOIT Cares for Kids Radiothon, I helped promote both the mission of the hospital and the impact of programs like The CHO Show, emphasizing UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland’s commitment to compassionate care, emotional well-being, and community support beyond medical treatment.
This project highlighted how storytelling and social media can humanize healthcare, amplify nonprofit initiatives, and drive awareness for vital pediatric services.
